Get the Full Scoop on the Oil and Fluids Your Subaru Calls For

We love a good shortcut as much as anyone, but if there's one kind of shortcut we never encourage, it's those pertaining to the care and general well-being of your car. Saving an hour here or an hour there by putting off something as easy as the oil change your Subaru so desperately needs may not seem all that significant in the moment, but the damaging effects service negligence can have on the overall health of safety of your daily driver can be truly catastrophic--not to mention pricey!--down the road.

Engine Oil

Of all the factory-recommended services your car calls for, simple oil changes are among the fastest, easiest, and most inexpensive on the horizon. However, while a relatively simple procedure, not all oil changes are performed with the same attention to detail, nor using the same grade of oil. That's why you should always come into our Rimrock Subaru service center when your ride is in need of any preventative or proactive servicing. We are committed to using only the highest grade oil and fluids that have been approved by Subaru itself. That way, you're able to continue to drive with the complete confidence that your vehicle has been tended to properly, using all the necessary tools.

Between oil changes, Subaru recommends that you check the oil level on your dipstick at every other fuel stop. Depending on your driving style and other conditions, your engine may consume oil more frequently than the recommended oil change intervals. So check the level and top it off if it’s low. It’s good practice to check vehicle fluids to help ensure your Subaru performs safely. It’s easy and anyone can do it. View the videos above to see how you can check your vehicle’s fluid levels.
